In keeping with our wacky plan, we need to mask the neck off so the nice shiny clear nitro lacquer winds up only on the headstock and the fingerboard. I decided to try and make a tidy "V" just below the headstock. Just doing a stripe across the neck would be ugly, methinks.For the side, I figured laquering the board just to the line of the fret tangs would look good. To paraphrase the legendary Buckocaster, I'm making this up as I go along. This could be a disaster or not, we shall see, shall we not?
