After that I rubbed out the finish with Griot's "Fine Hand Polish." Looks pretty good now.
Be aware that the lacquer is very soft until it cures. That may take months or years, although in practical terms, 30 days is the usual timeframe bandied about . What that means, though, especially at first, is it will scratch easily. When I masked off the headstock to refinish the sanded-through spot, the tape left marks which had to be sanded out. The longer you can wait to sand, the better. I have two bodies in the queue for later in the year, and I'll probably give them a month to cure after spraying.
