Travels Along I-10 Phoenix

I just got back from 5 days in Phoenix.  I was there for a family function but managed to get some fun time in.  Including a trip to an amazing music store.  More coming soon on that.

Arizona was the third-to-the-last state to join the Union.  It did so on February 14, 1912.  Both Arizona and New Mexico joined that year - New Mexico was admitted January 6.  Both were Territories before they became states.

Anyway, there are "Arizona Statehood" banners here and there - this one was along I-10 North in Phoenix.

It's always a little strange for me when I drive out West.  Here's an example.  I was on I-10/I-17 North and my choices for direction were Los Angeles or Flagstaff.  Crazy.
