I've just...Interesting article, and intriguing. I've just ordered one those CTS (nominally) 330k pot/switch units in order to add the "vintage tone" option to my 4003 (which dates to 2004). As soon as it arrives I'll be chucking my Fluke meter across it to see what it really measures. Personally I wouldn't mind if it specced out around 500k - I'd rather the bridge pup had too much "bite" available than not enough.<br /><br />On a related note: I've just read a 2011 forum post from John Hall (RIC C.E.O.) in which he said he'd tested a whole box full of the 330k CTS pots and found that most of them fell within 20% tolerance.
